Dr. Osman Ahmed is a Professor of Radiology at the University of Utah and a former faculty member at the University of Chicago. He completed his residency at the University of Chicago, followed by advanced fellowship training in Interventional Radiology at Stanford University.
Dr. Ahmed is internationally recognized for his expertise in minimally invasive, image-guided therapies, including embolization techniques used in oncology and vascular conditions. His work has contributed to advancing less invasive treatment options that support targeted cancer care, symptom relief, and improved patient outcomes.
A Fellow of both the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE), Dr. Ahmed has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and leads clinical research focused on innovative interventional treatments. His contributions have helped expand the role of interventional radiology in modern cancer care, offering patients effective alternatives to traditional surgery with reduced recovery time.
